Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser

29secrets and Philosophy teamed up to have 10 readers test out Philosophy's Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser (available at select BayShoppers Drug Mart and Sephora stores, except Quebec). The cleanser is 4-in-1: it's a cleanser, makeup remover, toner and hydrates the skin all in one go. Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser ($13 for 90mL, or $26 for 240mL) is made with 12 essential oils to soothe the skin, while gently removing dirt, oil and makeup. (We also reviewed the Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturizer here.)

10 readers used the cleanser morning and night for five days to see how the product measured up.  Read the reviews below!

Reviews:
"The Purity cleanser is an over-achiever. It gets rid of all dirt, oil, makeup, and mascara without stripping my skin. I love it by itself, but recently I recruited my power brush cleanser in tandem with the Purity Cleanser. Together, they're a tag team for much clearer and radiant skin." – Jill, editor of 29secrets

"My skin felt clean and soft after using the cleanser without the tightness I sometimes experience after cleansing. I was impressed with how well the cleanser removed my makeup – I don’t usually expect such good results with a non-foaming cleanser. Since using these products, I have received several comments about looking well-rested and fresh. My skin certainly feels softer and I’m not suffering from the usual dryness I experience during the winter months." - Pamela, Toronto ON

"After applying the cleanser my skin felt clean and refreshed. My skin felt very clean and fresh after applying the cleanser; it removed all traces of makeup and dirt. Love the cleanser." - Jennifer, Chelmsford, ON

"I love the cleanser – my skin felt totally refreshed. I'm all for saving steps, so I like the low maintenance effective routine of this 4-in-1 product.  I was really surprised at how effective the cleanser was at removing eye makeup. My skin feels great!" - Allison, Belfast, PE

"After using the cleanser my skin felt clean and moisturized. It didn't dry my skin out like some other cleansers do. The cleanser saved a lot of time, as I didn't need to use a make-up remover or toner! I liked the creamy texture and light scent of the cleanser, and the fact that is non-foaming. I used the cleanser morning & evening and it left my skin feeling clean, without any residue. I would definitely purchase the cleanser." - Jennifer Clark, Powell River, BC

"After using the cleanser my skin felt fresh and clean. Not dry or oily like some cleanser feel. The products were super simple to apply! Couldn’t have been any easier to use. Wash your face 2x a day and moisturize. The cleanser was a nice texture, not grainy (which I hate)." - Kristen, Regina, SK

"Love, love, love the cleanser. It’s the first cleanser that actually takes all my make up. Best cleanser hands down! Less flakiness and a tight feeling after a cleanse. I will be buying this cleanser." - Teresa, Toronto, ON

"My skin felt fresh and rejuvenated and it removed all traces of eye makeup and face makeup or dirt." - Carrie Taylor, Medicine Hat, AB

"After using the cleanser, my skin felt fresh and clean but not dry and tight. My favorite thing about the cleanser, I love that you don't need a separate product for eye makeup removal." - Gayle, Barrie, ON

"My skin felt very clean and you could really feel that the cleanser was working. Directions were very straight forward and easy to use. The cleanser worked really well at removing dirt and other makeup. My skin was softer and felt smoother than before. Also much cleaner than it usually was." - Melissa, Winnipeg, MB
