Wearing a stain can be a bit intimidating – after all, it's a look that requires a steady hand, precision, and you have to commit to wearing it for the full day.  This new lip trend will have you storing away your old lipsticks and glosses because this season it’s all about the stain. Cover Girl may have been the first popular stains to hit the market, but now many others have followed suit.

We tried three of this latest launches of the stain and here is what we found.

Lise Watier Hydra Shine Lip Stain
What we love about it
:
Lise Watier’s new Hydra Shine Lip Stains pack a lot of colour in one little package. Although relatively smaller than most marker-applicator lip stains, Lise Watier’s does not skimp on value! This little baby hits you with gorgeous vibrant colour that not only looks great, but will withstand a small flood. These delicious colours also look incredible under a bit of sheer lip gloss – the perfect way to dress your look up for a night on the town.

Our favourite shade: Rose Vibrant

Revlon Just Bitten
What we love about it:

Spoil yourself with a stain from Revlon, because with their Just Bitten line, your lips get twice the amount of pampering! Why? Because their stains are double ended. While you have a gorgeous berry coloured lip stain on one end, you also have a smooth soothing balm on the other end. The balm gives dry lips a hit of moisture without compromising the pigment of the stain. Reapply the balm as much as you like, that stain isn’t going anywhere!

Our favourite shade: Midnight

Maybelline Color Sensational
What we love about it:

Maybelline’s Color Sensational lipstains have a light berry smell that makes you feel fresh as you apply it. Once it dries, it’s scentless! Maybelline’s stains are also fabulous because they make it easy to adjust the tone of the colour on your lips! The more you go over them the darker your lip colour becomes, giving you the option of a lighter or darker tone.

Our favourite shade: Touch of Toffee
