Simone was born and raised on the West Coast of Canada. After watching far too many Indiana Jones movies as a kid, she moved from her sleepy seaside town to get a BA in Anthropology at the University of Toronto – a degree that as it turns out, has very little practical use in the real world. However, some people may argue that she has applied her anthropological research skills to her dating experiences, consciously or unconsciously seeking out every bizarre situation possible with the same kind of optimistic curiosity that Dian Fossey possessed while hanging out with the gorillas. 

Simone currently works as a freelance writer and her writing has appeared on 20-something.ca and Slice.ca.

A self-proclaimed shoe & purse addict, when she is not writing she enjoys exploring the concrete jungle of Toronto, large coffee in hand, in search of the next perfect find to add to her collection.
